论路德对自然科学的态度:以哥白尼的日心说为焦点

摘　　要：基于路德关于哥白尼的一段桌边谈话,路德长期受到科学史家的广泛批评,本文表明这些批评其实并不可靠。首先,路德的桌边谈话具有随意性。其次,路德的桌边谈话直到其去世二十年之后,即1566年才编辑出版,因此很难说那次谈话会阻碍哥白尼学说的传播。最后,我们不应该脱离路德自己更为严谨的论著,而仅仅从一段随意的桌边谈话把握其真正思想。路德自己的论著表明他把包括天文学和神学等不同的学科看作拥有各自技术语言的独立学科。Martin Luther has been severely criticized by some scholars for a remark he made about Copernicus and his heliocentric theory. The paper demonstrates that this criticism is unwarranted. Firstly, the remark was casual and the only one about Copernicus that Luther ever made. Secondly, Luther’s remark about Copernicus was published only in 1566,twenty years after his death. It therefore did not act as a deterrent to the spread of Copernicus’ s theory. Lastly, Luther’s writings show that he considered different disciplines as each having an autonomous technical language.
