从“通时事”“开民智”到“建政党”——对陈独秀报刊职能观的历史考察

摘　　要：陈独秀作为近现代重要的报刊活动家之一,其在近30年的报刊活动中形成了丰富而独特的新闻思想,其中报刊职能观更是最为重要的部分之一。在他看来,报刊所具有的主要职能包括:消息传播、教育引导以及宣传组织。这一理念源于晚清经世之学、康梁报刊思想以及马列主义的影响,带有浓重的工具理性特征。这一特征既成就了其所办报刊直接、鲜明、高效的媒介扩张力与社会影响力,但于报刊职能的全面发挥也有着较为明显的局限性。Chen D uxiu,as one of the most important newspaper activists in contemporary China,has nurtured a host of unique and valuable journalistic thoughts in his 30 years of newspaper activities.The concept of newspaper function was one of his most important thoughts.In his view,the main functions of newspaper were news dissemination,education and guidance,publicity and organizations.This idea originated from the Statecraft thoughts of the late Qing Dynasty and was influced by Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao,and Marxism-Leninism.Featuring strong instrumental rationality,his thoughts helped his newspaper expand rapidly and achieve strong social influence,but also limited the full exertion of newspaper functions..
