敦煌文献IOL TIB J380中的“格萨尔王”一词考辨

摘　　要：英国国家图书馆藏敦煌文献IOL TIB J380全文是密宗经籍《大方广菩萨藏文殊师利根本仪轨经》的片段,但是其中的“格萨尔王”在德格版《甘珠尔》和《大藏经对勘本》中翻译成了“雄狮王”。文章通过分析《格萨尔》史诗对岭·格萨尔王不同的称谓,推论出“格萨尔”虽然是象雄古藏语,但是意思与梵文中的“雄狮王”是等同的观点。This paper found that Dunhuang manuscript IOL Tib J380 collected in the British Library,is part of the Tantric text of collection of fundamental rituals of Manjusri Bodhisattva,while the“King Gesar”was translated into“Lion King”in the Dege version of Kangyur and the Collated Edition of Tripitaka.Through the different titles of King Gesar,we deduced that the word“Gesar”is ancient Zhang Zhung language,while it contains the same meaning with“Lion King”of Sanskrit.
