摘　　要：本文主要观照了美国诗人伊丽莎白·毕晓普对"种族他者"的认知及其对种族关系和种族政治等问题的剖视与反思。长年的旅行和侨居经历使其接触到各种族和阶层的"他者",亲身体认了其他民族和文化的现实状况,进而对西方文明和文化进行深刻的质疑与反思,广致深远地在诗中体现出她的道德意识和伦理关怀。她在作品中展示了东方主义如何造就了西方旅行者对他者文化的反应,此外还凸显了种族主义对少数族裔他者造成的深重伤害,号召"他者"进行抗争。此外,本文还探讨了毕晓普笔下种族话语的矛盾性,从而表明基督教世界观对西方文明的塑形和对人们思想认识的根本性作用及其在广义范围内的社会与历史影响。This paper explores the Other in the narratives of race in Elizabeth Bishop’s writing,showing her reflection on the racial relationships and racial politics.Years of travelling and living abroad enable her to come into contact with the Other from different races and strata as well as experience the reality in other nations and cultures.She casts doubts and reflects on the western civilization and culture and expresses her ethical concerns in her poetry.She is implicated in how Orientalism brings up the responses of western travelers toward other cultures.She also reveals the exploitation and persecution of the ethnic minorities,calling upon them to resist.In addition,the contradictory racial discourses in her works demonstrate that the Christian world view has constructed the Western idea of the Other,exerting lasting influence and generating broad social and historical effects.
