The co-edtion phenomenon of Li Bai and Du Fu collection appeared for the first time in the Ming Dynasty. It included the complete works and the selection, which have been handed down to this day with a large number. There are three main types of Li Du collection compiled by the Ming Dynasty. One is the collection of Li Du compiled by the people of the Song and Yuan Dynasties, the second is the collection of Li Du compiled by the people of the Ming Dynasty, and the third is the annotation of Li Du compiled by the people of the Ming Dynasty. From the point of view of bibliographic description and document object, the three types of Li Du collection have successively inherited relationship. In the Ming Dynasty,a lot of selected poems of Li and Du were published, including white text and annotated text. These annotated texts have their own characteristics, showing the esteem and affection of the Ming people to Li Du.The co-edition and co-engraving of Li Du collection is a pioneering work of the Ming Dynasty. In commenting on Li Du and his poems, the Ming Dynasty did its best to be fair,to clarify their own artistic features, and to avoid suppressing Li but flattering Du or on just the opposite. This is also the main content of Li and Du’s merging, and has various literary significance.
