评价理论视角下政治新闻语篇的批评性分析--以《华盛顿邮报》关于中美贸易战报道为例

摘　　要：政治新闻报道作为建构和传播权力阶层的价值观念和意识形态的主要工具,是批评话语分析的主要关注对象。本研究基于《华盛顿邮报》中美贸易战相关报道自建语料库,从评价理论视角,通过考察《华盛顿邮报》相关报道中各类态度资源的发生频次、分布,探讨美方在贸易、关税等领域对中方的评价、立场和态度。研究发现:语料中情感资源占比最大,鉴赏资源占比最小;在中美贸易问题上,美主流媒体通过运用大量消极态度资源表达对中国商贸、关税政策、经济实力、科技发展、中国政府及其政治行为等方面的负面态度,以及孤立、打压、歪曲中国的立场,最终实现妖魔化中国国家形象的政治目的。Political news reports,as the main tool of constructing and disseminating the values and ideologies of the power class,are the objects of Critical Discourse Analysis.Based on the self-built corpus of Washington Post’s reports on Sino-US trade war,this study,from the perspective of appraisal theory,investigates the frequency and distribution of attitudinal resources in Washington Post’s reports on Sino-US trade war,and explores the evaluation,position and attitude of the United States towards China in the fields of trade and tariffs.The study finds that emotional resources account for the largest proportion and appreciative resources account for the smallest.On the issue of Sino-US trade,the mainstream media of the United States expresses their negative attitude towards China’s commerce and foreign trade,tariff policy,economic strength,scientific and technological development,the Chinese government and its political behavior,the rise of China’s status,China’s international influence and other aspects,as well as the stance of isolating,suppressing and distorting China’s through the use of a large number of negative attitudinal resources,and ultimately realizes the political goal of demonizing China’s national image.
