摘　　要：本文运用黑格尔悲剧理论为支撑,从理论实体和悲剧冲突入手,探讨了澳大利亚女作家考琳·麦卡洛的代表作《荆棘鸟》中主人公在经历自然冲突、人与外界冲突和心灵的自我冲突后为爱奋不顾身与命运抗争的精神。The thesis applying Hegel’s Tragedy Theory for support,discussed the ethic entity and tragedy conflict in The Thorn Birds which was written by Colleen McCullough.It reveals the spirits of leading characters,who were so reckless to fight with fate for love after experienced the conflicts of natural,environment and inner ego.
