《布罗迪小姐的青春》中的女性形象解读

摘　　要：小说《布罗迪小姐的青春》在其独特的时代和地域背景下塑造了一系列风格迥异的女性形象,并在女权运动的大背景下使之象征化——激进的女权主义者布罗迪小姐、进步女权主义者的代表桑迪、半开化的布罗迪帮女孩及以女校长麦凯小姐为代表的传统女性。作为一部情节简单、语言通俗,而主题寓意丰富的小说,其女性主题建构和女性形象的塑造很大程度上归功于象征主义写作手法的运用。Under its unique creation background,the novel The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie creates various types of women images and allegorizes them with a deeper implication—radical feminist Miss Jean Brodie,progressive women representative Sandy,half-enlightened girls in Brodie set and traditional female represented by Miss Mackey.As a simple story that can be explored from multiple perspectives,it cannot be denied that its success in constructing a female theme and characterizing female images is greatly due to the employment of symbolism.
