Overview of One Century Sinology Studies on the Song Poetry in North America

摘　　要：北美汉学界的宋诗研究有逾百年的历史,在不同历史阶段,其时代语境、研究视野、观照维度与方法路径均不尽相同。北美汉学界的宋诗研究可大致分为三个时期:一是20世纪30年代以前的萌芽期,这一时期主要是传教士汉学,流于简单引介;二是20世纪30年代至冷战结束的发展期,这一时期进入专业汉学阶段,成果颇丰,但受国际政治影响较大;三是冷战结束至今的深化期,学者们多出于自身学术兴趣研究,视角独特,剖析深入。It has been over one hundred years since scholars in North America began their studies on the Song poetry.The historical backgrounds,perspectives and viewpoints,and research methods are quite different in different periods.The author holds that the Sinology studies on the Song Poetry in North America fall into three periods.The first and also infancy period is before 1930s during which missionaries aimed to introduce the Song poetry to western readers in a simple way.The second and also developing period is from 1930s to the end of the Cold War during which Sinologists made great achievements on circulating the Song poetry in the Englishspeaking world,but this period was severely affected by the international politics.The third and also deepening period is from the end of the Cold War till now during which scholars have researched the Song poetry from various perspectives according to their particular interests.
