摘　　要：本文以刘长卿《逢雪宿芙蓉山主人》英译与原作为个案,引入认知语言学“图形——背景理论”,提出图形作为原作要张显的焦点,却被译为背景;或反之,背景作为衬托焦点的绿叶,却被译为图形,都是对原文的曲解。因此,翻译的质量标准若引入英译与原作“认知契合度”这个概念,并以分值量化方式来进行考量,对译学理论与实践将会带来一种新的研究视角和有益的启示。As a case study of the English vs Chinese versions of LIU Chang-qing's Seeking Shelter in Lotus Hill on a Snowy Night,this study,based on"figure-ground"theory,argues that some translations are violating the figure-ground cognition,thus resulting in translating the figures in the original texts into grounds,and vice versa,hence weakening translation quality.The introduction of concept of"cognitive matching degree"to achieve quantitative analysis of the original text and its translation will benefit both translation theory and practice.
