Objective:To explore the possible mechanism of swimming combined with chitosan on delaying fatigue and promoting recovery in mice. Methods:KM mice were treated with chitosan(low, medium and high dose)intervention, swimming exercise intervention, chitosan(low, medium and high dose)and swimming combined intervention. The time of exhaustion,HB,LD,SOD,MDA and muscle/liver glycogen were measured after intervention. Results:the exhaustion time of mice in swimming and chitosan combined intervention group was significantly higher than that in the control group.Compared with swimming, the combined intervention could significantly increase HB,reduce LD and MDA concentration, enhance SOD activity and muscle/liver glycogen content. Conclusions:Swimming combined with chitosan intervention can improve the metabolic rate of free radicals, reduce the oxidative damage of free radicals to organs and cells, effectively delay the occurrence of fatigue and promote recovery after fatigue.
