民国时期河南旅居外省同乡会及其赈灾义演考察

摘　　要：近代河南地区天灾人祸不断,旅居外省豫人关心桑梓,成立了数量众多的同乡会,并以同乡会为依托不断向家乡人民施以援助。在实施赈灾过程中,同乡会采取了赈银、移民就粟等传统赈灾办法,利用报刊媒体扩大灾情宣传,成立赈灾组织进行有效赈灾,同时还在旅居地发起赈灾义演活动,娱乐与赈灾相结合,利用这一新型筹款方式,寓善于乐的同时达到赈济灾民的目的。从这些举措中可以看出同乡会为满足同乡灾民的现实需要所作的努力。旅居外省的河南同乡会在对家乡的赈济过程中既充分发挥了同乡会为同乡办理善举、提供救济的功能,同时在社会上形成了良好的风气,促进了慈善意识的广泛传播。In modern times,Henan was continuously plagued by natural and man-made disasters.As a result,Henanese people dwelling outside of Henan established a large number of fellow townsmen associations to show their care and support to their home province.Through these associations,they were able to provide much needed assistance to their fellow townsmen in a timely manner.In the process of disaster relief,various Henan fellowship associations adopted traditional relief methods,combining material support with physical displacement of refugees.Meanwhile,Henanese people living outside also capitalized on newspapers and media outlets to increase publicity for disasters and relief work in their home province.They also set up disaster relief organizations to carry out effective disaster relief work.Besides,they launched disaster relief charity performances in their places of residence to raise money,effectively combining entertainment and disaster relief as a new type of fund-raising.From these measures,we can see the efforts made by various Henan fellowship associations to meet the needs of those in disaster-stricken areas.In the process of relief interventions,Henan fellowship associations not only gave full play to their active role in relief provision and charity causes but also fostered good social ethos and promoted charity awareness among people in the society.
