摘　　要：危地马拉作家阿斯图里亚斯的小说《玉米人》描绘了危地马拉社会一段光怪陆离的魔幻往事,小说以散文诗般的叙事以及死亡、复仇和魔幻情节反映了作者对后殖民时代社会阶级、生存信仰和宗教寄托的认知与情感,表达了对危地马拉社会重归印第安传统的重要性和理想期冀。本文从小说离散的叙事结构中梳理出作者以冲突和寻找为线索建立的社会、生存、信仰三重递进式表达。阿斯图里亚斯以古老的印第安文化为创作母体,借由魔幻的修辞术增加了三重表达中故事情节的张力,同时鞭笞了现实中的社会不公与政治残酷。围绕阶级、生存和信仰的民族叙事最终都指向了阿斯图里亚斯所期冀的危地马拉社会向印第安传统社会的回归。Hombres de maíz,written by the Guatemalan writer MiguelÁngel Asturias,depicts a fantastic and magical past in the Guatemalan society.The novel reflects the author’s cognition and emotion of the social class,existential belief and religious sustenance in the post-colonial era with the prose poetic narration.It portrays death and revenge with a magic plot.And meantime it expresses the importance and the ideal expectation of the Guatemalan society to return to the Indian tradition.From the discrete narrative structure of the novel,this paper combs out the threefold progressive expression of the society,the survival and the belief established by the author with the clue of conflict and search.Asturias takes the ancient Indian culture as his creation matrix to increase the tension of the plot in the triple expression by the magic rhetoric and to lash the social injustice and political cruelty in reality.The national narratives concerned with class,existence and belief all point to the return of the Guatemalan society to the traditional Indian society.
