摘　　要：工业革命时期,英国经济迅猛发展,但在社会治理尤其是犯罪和监狱治理方面仍存在混合羁押、管理不善等诸多弊端。这一时期出现了一大批监狱改革倡导者,其中19世纪初杰出的监狱改革家伊丽莎白·弗莱对女囚生存境况及监狱环境的改善做出了巨大贡献,有力地推动了英国监狱改革运动的发展。During the industrial revolution,Britain’s economy made great progress,but there were many drawbacks in social governance,especially in crime and prison governance,such as mixed custody,poor management,etc.During this period,society poured out a large number of prison reformers.Elizabeth Fry,an outstanding prison reformer in the early 19th century,made great contributions to the improvement of the management and living conditions of female prisoners and the prison environment,improving the living environment of female prisoners and promoting the development of the British prison reform movement.
