Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy(NPWT)by taking patients with moderate burn wounds as research subjects. Methods 66 patients with moderate burns treated from January to June 2019 were randomly selected and divided into two groups by random number table method of simple random sampling. The patients in the reference group(n=33)were treated with conventional therapy and the patients in the treatment group(n=33)received the treatment of negative pressure drainage. The clinical efficacy and complications of the two groups were compared. Results The total clinical effective rate of the treatment group was 96.97%,and that of the reference group was 81.82%.The clinical efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the reference group, with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The wound scar scores of the treatment group such as softness, vascular distribution, thickness and color were lower than those of the reference group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The overall incidence of complications such as wound infection, etc.in the treatment group was 6.06%,while that in the reference group reached 21.21%,with statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of NPWT to patients with burn wound can improve the efficacy of clinical treatment and effectively inhibit the risk of wound infection.
