摘　　要：To Room Nineteen tells a story about protagonist Susan’s process of mental collapse.She experienced from happiness to repression.Unfortunately,Susan got herself liberation by committing suicide in the end of the story.According to Freud,the person⁃ality structure of a complete person consists of id,ego and superego.Susan’s death at last is mainly due to the inner state of her per⁃sonality structure.This paper tries to examine Susan’s mental world through Freudian theory of personality structure.
