Objective To explore the relationship between dietary intake of sugary beverage and hyperuricemia. Methods China National Knowledge Infrastructure,PubMed and Web of Science weresearched for published relevant papers from inception to October 10,2019 by using sugar-sweetened beverages, fructose, hyperuricemia and uric acid as search words. And the retrieved articles were screened strictly to obtain relevant articles. Results After search,a total of 2493 articles were retrieved. After duplicate articles and irrelevant studies were excluded, the leaving 30 articles were read in full, and 9 articles were finally included, including 6 foreign studies and 3 domestic studies. We expounded on these 9 articles and explored the possible mechanisms of hyperuricemia associated with sugary beverages. Conclusion Some studies have shown that there is a positive correlation between dietary sugar-sweetened beverage consumption and hyperuricemia, however, some other studies have not found a relationship between them, and longitudinal studies are lacking. Thus, further research is needed.
