摘　　要：萧殷作为《文艺报》创刊初期三位主编之一,他的文学史价值和意义,在中国当代文学史的研究视野里基本没有展开。萧殷不是时代大潮中卓然成名成家的文坛翘楚,他是在民族独立和民族解放斗争中成长起来的文艺战线上的战士,即所谓的文学和新闻工作者。正因为如此,萧殷作为大时代文艺洪流河床上的基石与底座的一部分,显示出其独特的存在价值、角色意义而不可或缺。对萧殷在文学思想史和批评史上的贡献和意义的讨论,事实上已经不是对他一个人的估量与判断。如果我们承认文学史也包括政党机构系统和政治制度体系内的文学工作的历史,那么萧殷的道路、努力和成长、付出与贡献就是很有典型意义的。萧殷在当代中国文化机构、文学系统内的地位和角色,他的文艺活动、文学批评,他在思想文化组织与教育普及推广上的工作,都极具历史反思和现实考察借鉴价值。他不是一个人,他代表了一类人、一代人的文艺思想风格,他显现出了一代人的文艺勤勉与文学沉思。Xiao Yin was one of the three chief editors at the beginning of the publication of Literary and Art News,but his value and significance in literary history were basically not developed in the research vision of contemporary Chinese literary history.Xiao Yin was not a literary leader who became famous in the tide of the times,but a fighter on the literary and artistic front who grew up in the struggle for national independence and liberation,which means he was the so-called literature worker and journalist.Just because of this,Xiao Yin,as the cornerstone and foundation on the riverbed of the torrent of literature and art in the great age,showed his unique existence value and indispensable role.The discussion of Xiao Yin’s contribution and significance in the history of literary thought and criticism is in fact no longer an assessment and judgment of himself as a literature worker.If we admit that the history of literature also includes the history of literary work in the political party institutions and political systems,then Xiao Yin’s path,efforts and growth as well as his dedication and contribution are very typical.Xiao Yin’s status and role in contemporary Chinese cultural institutions and literary systems,his literary and artistic activities or literary criticism activities,and his work in ideological and cultural organization or educational popularization are all valuable for historical reflections and practical investigations.Xiao Yin was not struggling alone.He represented the literary and artistic thinking style of a class of people and that of a generation of literature worker.He showed the diligence and literary contemplation of his generation.
