摘　　要：国际政治经济学认为,政治军事实力比经济金融实力更能影响国际货币之间的竞争:“二战”后,美国通过与西方国家建立军事联盟关系进一步巩固和支撑了美元国际地位与美国全球霸权,西方国家则通过与美国建立联盟关系获得了美国军事安全保护,从而可集中更多资源用于经济建设,但在经济崛起之后联盟关系反倒成为西方国家推进货币国际化并分享国际货币权力的主要桎梏。以非平衡面板固定效应模型为基础研究联盟关系影响西方非美元货币国际化进程,结果表明:联盟关系对西方国家非美元货币国际化具有十分显著的负面影响,联盟关系限制了西方国家推动本国货币国际化并与美元争夺更多国际货币权力的努力;军事实力在货币国际化中具有重要作用,美国超强的军事实力是美元国际货币结构性权力的强有力来源之一,也使美国成为全球资产的“安全天堂”;那些没有被美国军事力量庇护的国家,其货币国际化水平显著高于被美国庇护的国家。Based on the theory of international political economy,military strength is more influential than economic strength in global currency competition.In fact,the US-led alliance of Western countries in the post-World War II era has been not only very supportive of US dominance in international monetary system,but also extremely restrictive in the internationalization of non-US currencies that share the US“Security Umbrella”.In this research an econometric model is constructed accordingly and extensive empirical studies are conducted by using an unbalanced panel data set of Western countries.As expected,there has been a universal and statistically significant Security dilemma for US allies in the West,or in another word,their pursuit of more international monetary power by promoting global use of their own currencies rather than supporting the US dollar would actually undermine the willingness of the U.S.to provide“Security Umbrella”for them in the asymmetric alliance or relationship with the U.S.
