区域国别研究文献保障:起源、概念与现状——对欧美地区研究及地区研究文献保障的考察

摘　　要：我国在教育部备案的区域国别研究相关的系、所、中心达437个,大量区域国别研究图书馆成建制出现成为趋势。为探究"区域国别研究"和"区域国别研究文献保障",文章基于欧美地区研究及地区研究文献保障的历史考察,厘清区域国别研究文献保障的起源、概念及现状,认为区域国别研究所需文献不同于一般的学术研究所需文献,在时效性、专题性、针对性和文献分级上有更高要求,构建中国视野下的区域国别研究文献保障体系成为高校图书馆的新领域。There have been totally 437 university-affiliated institutes concentrating on area studies in China,and it seems that there will be more and more area studies collections in the future.In order to learn more about what is area studies and what literatures should be collected to guarantee area studies,this paper makes a historical survey of both area studies and area studies collections in Europe and North America,making clear the origin,conception and current status of area studies collections.On the basis of such a survey,it is pointed out that area studies collections are different from those collections for general academic researches,and more literatures of strong timeliness,high pertinence and well classification are in urgent need.Thus,area studies collections could be a new field for university libraries to expand their services.
