摘　　要：科学合理设置治理的基本单元,对于顺利推进治理、提升治理绩效和实现有效治理而言至关重要。在乡土中国已然转变为城乡中国的当下,合适的城市社区治理单元对于现代城市中国建设尤为关键。在分析城市社区治理单元演变趋向的基础上,探讨了新时代城市社区治理单元选择的影响因素、基本原则与方向,以及小区作为城市社区治理单元何以可能的问题。A scientific and reasonable installation of governance units is crucial to the smooth ex⁃ecution of governance and the enhancement of its efficacy and effectiveness.At a time when China has changed from a largely rural country to a more urbanized country,it is important for it to set up appro⁃priate governance units for urban communities to facilitate the urbanization process.By analyzing the trends of change in urban community units,this paper explores the factors that may influence urban community governance,suggests the basic principles and directions for the selection of urban community governance units in the New Era,and discusses the possibilities of making a residential quarter a unit of such governance.
