摘　　要：尼采所倡导的权力意志并不追求生存和关注外在的权力以及地位,而是追求提升生命力本身的意志。在《恋爱中的女人》中,有着“工业拿破仑”之称的煤矿主杰拉德完美地诠释了尼采的权力意志:为了显示其自身的强大和优势或者说是为了达到自己的目的,他使用强力征服母马、煤矿以及极力控制戈珍,使他们成为自身生长并获得成功满足感的工具。The will to power advocated by Nietzsche does not pursue survival and pay attention to external power and status,but pursues the will to enhance its vitality.In Women in Love,the coal mine owner Gerald,well known as“Industrial Napoleon”,is a perfect interpretation of Nietzsche’s will to power:in order to show his own power and advantage or to reach his own purpose,he conquers the mare,coal mine and controls Gudrun with his power to make them tools for his own growth and satisfaction of obtaining success.
