摘　　要：自然保护地是保护生物多样性和维持生态系统功能稳定的最有效方式,自然遗产地是全球最具有保护价值的自然保护地。万朝山自然保护区和湖北神农架世界自然遗产地,均位于神农架地理单元,其生态系统和动植物组成与神农架世界自然遗产地具有诸多相似性。但是,目前依然不清楚万朝山自然保护区在动植物多样性及其栖息地、生物群落及其生物生态学过程等方面的自然遗产价值。本研究在样地样线调查分析及文献资料梳理的基础上,从动植物多样性及其栖息地、生物群落及其生物生态学过程等方面,分析论证了万朝山自然保护区的遗产价值。研究发现,万朝山自然保护区保存有北亚热带完好的常绿落叶阔叶混交林,拥有北亚热带典型的山地垂直自然带谱,是温带植物区系重要集散地之一,也是众多珍稀濒危物种和中国特有种的栖息地,是神农架世界自然遗产地完整性的有力补充。本研究可为鄂西大神农架的保护和科学监测提供科学依据。Nature reserves are the cornerstone of global conservation strategies in conserving biodiversity and ecosystem function,and Natural heritage site was been recognized as the pinnacle of natural protected areas that are the cornerstones of biodiversity conservation.Until now,it has not been clear how the heritage value of Wanchaoshan natural reserveis globally,and this presents one of the most compelling challenges to conservation efforts.Here,we illustrated the heritage value of Wanchaoshan natural reserve,based on compiledliterature and field surveys.Results show that Wanchaoshan natural reserve sustain intact subtropical mixed broad-leaved evergreen and deciduous forests and the typical vertical vegetation zonation.Wanchaoshan natural reserve is also one of location for global temperate flora,and harborsdiverse temperate genera.Moreover,thereserve displays exceptional biodiversity and is a key habitat for numerous relic,rare,endangered,endemic,and type species.Our study providedgreat insight into protecting,monitoring and managing whole Shennongjia.
