英美俚语的地域差异研究

摘　　要：英语俚语地域性很强,不同地域俚语不同。同一个英语俚语在不同英语国家中的意义不同,同一个概念在不同英语国家中用不同的英语俚语表示,仅在一国中通用的俚语。究其根源,有地理环境的差异,有政治制度和民族习俗的不同等。拟从语言及文化的角度来对英美两国中的英语俚语地域差异加以研究。揭示英美俚语的地域差异,无论对方言与地域文化的研究,还是对英美两国人民的交流都具有重要的意义。同时,将有利于英语学习者更清楚地了解英语国家的语言文化和社会的发展,从而提高他们的跨文化交际能力。English slang has strong regional characteristics and varies from region to region.The same English slang has different meanings in different English-speaking countries;the same concept can be expressed with different English slang in different English-speaking countries;some vocabulary in slang is exclusively used in a specific country.The root causes are related to geographical environment,political system and national customs.This paper intends to study the regional differences between British and American slang from the linguistic and cultural perspectives.It is of great significance to reveal the geographical differences between British and American slang in terms of both the research on the dialect and regional culture,and the interaction between Englishmen and Americans.At the same time,it will be helpful for English learners to have a clearer understanding of cultural and social development of language in Englishspeaking countries,so as to improve their cross-cultural communicative competence.
