During the Japanese occupation period, the Wushe Incident in Taiwan was a large-scale antiJapanese armed uprising initiated by Taiwan’s aborigines against Japanese colonial rule. The widespread influence on and off the island has spurred the pepole in Taiwan’s anti-Japanese enthusiasm and caused a heavy blow to the Japanese colonial rule. In order to maintain colonial rule, the Japanese colonists carried out a series of discourse operations in the process of suppressing the uprising, and reversed the black and white to attribute the incident to the barbaric nature of Taiwan’s aborigines. Through the operation of colonial power, it not only affects the general public’s understanding of the incident, but also penetrates into the literary creation related to the event, thus making literature a symbol of colonial power.
