摘　　要：福斯特的《霍华德庄园》是一部反映英国命运,以及人类文明(寓言)的小说。以雷蒙·威廉斯的文化唯物论为理论依据,以威尔科克斯与玛格丽特的联姻为主线,细读梳理联结观二元对立中的不对称性,剖析爱德华时代的主导文化。Forster′s Howards End is a novel reflecting the fate of England and human civilization(allegory).Based on Raymond Williams′cultural materialism theory,this paper takes the marriage of Wilcox and Margaret as the main line and discuss detailedly the asymmetry in the binary opposition of connection view and the dominant culture of Edwardian era.
