王锡彤视野下的“丁戊奇荒”与华北社会

摘　　要：《抑斋自述》是一部自叙年谱性质的著述,系根据晚清河南士绅王锡彤日记整理而成,史料价值高,为研究近代国史与河南史之必读书,以灾荒史的新视角重新审视《抑斋自述》实有惊喜的发现。丁戊奇荒给华北经济社会带来巨大破坏与影响。作为光绪奇荒的亲历者,王锡彤在日记中对其作了具体真切的叙述与评论,令人感动而震颤。王锡彤自身、家族、亲朋好友等亦深受灾情影响而多有变化。在士绅王锡彤视野下,我们可以看到灾前之预象与警示;了解到一些灾中之实际艰难与真切悲惨;灾后之合力赈灾与深刻反思。在王锡彤的细致观察与实际接触中,我们亦可借管窥灾情来观察当时人情政情国情,于感性中获得更深刻细微的认识,从而吸取救灾教训,以期利国利民。Yi Zhai Zi Shu is a self-narrative chronological work,compiled from the diary of Wang Xitong,a gentry in Henan Province in late Qing Dynasty.Due to its high historical value,it has become a must-read for the study of modern national history and Henan history,and amazing discovery will be made when it’s re-examined from the new perspective of disaster history.“Ding-wu Disaster”imposed great influencing damages on North China's economy and society.As an experiencer of the famine,Wang Xitong made specific,true,moving and horrifying narrations and comments on the disaster in his diary,which showed the disaster greatly affected and changed both his families and his friends.Wang Xitong’s perspective offers us a panorama of the disaster,the pre-disaster predictions and warnings,the true difficulties and miseries appearing in the disaster,and the post-disaster joint efforts of disaster relief and deep reflection.Furthermore,his meticulous observation and actual experience provide us with local customs and practices,political and country conditions at that time,thus enabling us to gain a deeper understanding of that society and learn some disaster relief lessons so as to benefit the nation and the people.
