从时空体理论看《呼啸山庄》中田园世界的式微

摘　　要：《呼啸山庄》通过艺术地把握时间和空间来构建情节。巴赫金的时空体理论总结出文学作品中不同时空体的特征,是有效的文学研究工具。笔者运用巴赫金的时空体理论解读《呼啸山庄》,发现田园时空体在这一小说中居于主导地位,小说同时还隐含着资本主义的都市时空体,希斯克利夫的复仇体现了田园时空体与都市时空体的抗衡,最终呼啸山庄被关闭象征着资本主义势力战胜封建力量,田园世界走向式微。从时空体理论解读《呼啸山庄》挖掘出了小说的社会关切与历史意义。Time and space are skillfully employed in Wuthering Heights to construct the plot.Bakhtin's theory of chronotope summarizes the characteristics of different chronotopes in different genres of literature.It turns out an effective tool of literary analysis.Applying the theory of chronotope to study Wuthering Heights,this paper reveals that idyllic chronotope is the dominant chronotope within the novel.Meanwhile,there is an implied capitalist world outside the idyllic chronotope—the urban chronotope.The competition between the two chronotopes is revealed through Heathcliff's revenge.The close of Wuthering Heights at the end of the novel symbolizes the vic-tory of capitalism over feudalism.Thus the idyllic world declines.This analysis helps to reveal the social concerns and historical significance of Wuthering Heights.
