摘 要:面向数据中心短距光互连传输的强度调制与直接检测(intensity modulation and direct detection,IM-DD)技术,在光纤低损耗窗口C波段传输时,色散效应将引入严重的频率选择性功率衰退问题。从IM-DD系统色散损伤理论分析入手,阐述了利用单边带(single side band,SSB)调制技术实现高色散鲁棒性传输的机理,并对系统设计的关键问题进行了讨论与综述,包括4种SSB信号的生成方式、2类信号调制格式和2种提取SSB信号线性映射项的数字信号处理(digital signal processing,DSP)算法。通过搭建SSB系统仿真分析平台,对信号生成方式、调制格式、DSP算法进行了对比与评价。通过对SSB调制光互连传输系统的理论与技术研究分析、关键参数讨论,将为实际高色散鲁棒性短距光互连系统的设计和评估提供指导。For short reach optical interconnects based on intensity modulation and direct detection(IM-DD)technology,the chromatic dispersion will induce severe frequency selective power fading influence during transmission on the low-loss C-band window.In this paper,we first analyze the theory of dispersion damage in IM-DD systems,and introduce the principle of high dispersion robustness optical interconnection transmission based on single side band(SSB)modulation.Next,the key technologies of SSB systems are reviewed and discussed,including four SSB signal generation methods,two signal modulation formats and two digital signal processing(DSP)algorithms used to extract linear signal item from the detected SSB signal.Finally,these key issues of SSB systems are investigated and evaluated by simulation in detail.The theoretical analyses and key parameter discussions given in this work will be helpful to guide the design and evaluation the SSB-based short-distance optical interconnection systems with high dispersion robustness in practice.
