清末和民国时期大学图书馆馆长的人口学特征

摘　　要：从性别、任职年龄、籍贯分布、受教育背景等方面,对清末和民国时期大学图书馆馆长的人口学特征进行分析。发现该群体的性别比例与当时所有图书馆的总体状况相合,而女性馆长的比例高于其他各类图书馆;馆长任职的初始年龄集中于40岁以下,籍贯集中于中东部省份,且较少在本地或相邻地区就职;所获学位多来自国外院校,有科举功名者主要任职于图书馆早期阶段。This study analyzes the demographic characteristics of university librarians in the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China period from the aspects of gender,age,native place distribution and educational background.It is found that the gender ratio of this group is consistent with the general situation of all types of libraries,while the proportion of female curators is higher than other types of libraries.The age of the curators when starting their positons were mostly under 40 while the native place concentrated in central and eastern provinces.While most of them worked in local or neighboring areas of their native place,most people obtained their degrees at abroad,and most of those became famous in their career hold the position in the early stages of the library development.
