Objective To analyze the relationship between the occurrence of uterine fibroids(UF)and various metabolic indexes in women underwent physical examination in the municipal organ units in Nanjing. Methods The clinical data of height,weight,BP,FBG,HbA1 c,blood lipid and transvaginal ultrasound of 1120 female physical examiners from the municipal organ units in Nanjing were collected. The metabolic levels of 366 cases with UF(group A)and 754 cases without UF(group B)were compared. The correlation between UF and metabolic indexes was analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regressions. Results The proportion of the physical examiners with increased BMI,FBG,TC and LDL-C levels in group A was higher than that in group B(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that high levels of HbA1 c,TC and LDL-C were the independent risk factors for UF(P<0.05).Conclusion The occurrence of UF is closely related to the metabolic indexes in the female physical examiners of municipal organ units in Nanjing.HbA1 c,TC and LDL-C are the important factors affecting the occurrence of UF.
