摘 要:对中国传播学的本土化,当在地经验的本土化之争日趋式微的时候,传统文化的本土化之争依然存在。这方面最新例证之一就是,有学者提出“接受主体性”这一概念以解释庄子传播思想。“接受主体性”作为概念因其无前提、无内涵、无印证恐有失妥当;对庄子,我们后人应该抱有“了解之同情”,同时有取珠还椟、避名居实的苦心孤诣。为避免陷入穿凿附会,传播学本土化可资借鉴的路径有三:社会学的“文化自觉”,哲学层面的思辨以及历史学层面的传播活动诠释。In their efforts to indigenize communication studies,Chinese scholars have been adopting different approaches.One is to promote the exploration of indigenous empirical evidences in contemporary Chinese society,and the other is to insist on excavating the value of traditional Chinese culture.While debates on the former approach have been more or less settled,the latter is currently a heatedly-debated topic.One of the newest examples is the coinage of the term of“receiving subjectivity”by a handful of scholars to interpret the so-called“communication thoughts”of Chuang Tzu.In this paper,I argue that“receiving subjectivity”is a fabricated concept bearing no premise,substance,or verification in Chuang Tzu and his associates.We should interpret Chuang Tzu with great caution and sensibility.We need to capture the essence of Chuang Tzu’s thoughts in the context of his time and culture,rather than transplanting any ready-made Western concepts and contrasting them against Chuang Tzu.To avoid over-interpretation of traditional Chinese culture while advancing the indigenization of communication studies,communication scholars should borrow the wisdom our neighboring disciplines have offered,i.e.the cultural consciousness of sociological scholars,the argumentative logics of philosophical scholars,and the interpretive methodology of historical scholars.
