摘　　要：《七角楼》里莫尔家族的后人霍尔格雷渥是一名银版摄影师。霍桑对这一新兴职业的书写,集中展现了他与美国肖像摄影共同的审美追求。通过将这一职业身份神秘化,霍尔格雷渥莫尔后人的身份也被暗示出来。以摄影师之眼窥探灵魂,霍尔格雷渥描写了自我和他人心中的普遍罪恶,也洞察了爱的救赎方式,最终实现了两个家族的灵魂救赎。In The House of the Seven Gables,Holgrave,a descendant of the Maule family,is a daguerreotypist.Hawthorne's account of this emerging profession focuses on the aesthetic pursuit he Shared with American portrait photography.The identity of Holgrave as a descendant of the Maule family is also hinted at.Peering into the soul with a photographer's eye,Holgrave saw the general evil in the hearts of himself and others,as well as the redemption way of love,and finally realized the soul redemption of two families.
