摘　　要：杰拉德·普林斯现为美国宾夕法尼亚大学罗曼语系终身教授,在叙事学研究领域颇负盛名。他提出的"受叙者""叙事性"以及"未发生事件的叙述"等一系列概念,丰富和完善了叙事学理论体系。他于2013年荣获国际叙述学研究会颁发的"韦恩·布思终生成就奖"。受《山东外语教学》编辑部委托,笔者对普林斯教授进行了专访。本次访谈围绕当下叙事理论以及普林斯本人的叙述学研究展开。访谈中,普林斯结合自己的近期研究,分析了当今叙事研究的新动向以及所面临的挑战。他指出,持有开放的心态且不忘叙事本身才是当下叙事研究的终极旨归。Gerald Prince is Professor of Romance Languages at the University of Pennsylvania.He is a leading scholar of narrative poetics,and has helped to shape the discipline of narratology,developing key concepts such as narratee,narrativity and the dinarrated.In 2013 he received the Wayne C.Booth Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Society for the Study of Narrative.Commissioned by Shandong Foreign Language Teaching,the author conducted the interview which focused on a wide range of issues concerning narrative studies today and some of Prince’s own works in narratology.Prince discussed new directions of narrative studies and the challenges as well as his recent research in narratology.He stressed that one should keep an open mind in narrative studies but not forget narrative itself.
