摘　　要：Among modern Chinese philosophers,Feng Youlan surpasses others in theoretical clarity,but he is also the most controversial.is paper tries to reveal the tension in Feng Youlan’s philosophizing through the lens of his awkward position in the changing system of humanities education.It points out some misunderstandings in contemporary research on Feng’s philosophy and further discusses solutions to that problem.
