Objective To study the effect of vitamin D supplementation in pregnant women with gestational diabetes and its influence on pregnancy outcome. Methods This study included 104 pregnant women with gestational diabetes who were admitted from May 2018 to April 2019. They were divided into two groups according to the random number table method.52 cases in the control group received routine check-up management, and 52 cases in the observation group received vitamin D. The blood glucose levels and pregnancy outcome of the two groups were compared. Results The fasting blood glucose level, the 2 h postprandial blood glucose level and the cesarean section rate of the pregnant women in the observation group after intervention were lower than those of the control group. The pregnancy outcome was better than that of the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusion Supplementing vitamin D to pregnant women with gestational diabetes based on routine obstetrics management can improve their blood glucose levels, reduce the rate of cesarean section, and optimize pregnancy outcomes.
