摘 要:Introduction Achieving longevity and immortality is the ultimate goal of Taoism.Artistic works that perfect symbolize such an aspiration is the painting of God of Longevity(Ch.Shouxing Tu寿星图).Comparatively, the Six Symbols of Long Life(Tib.Tshe ring rnam drug),a Tibetan thang ka painting, reveals the ecological view of the Tibetan people through the same motif, the pursuit of longevity. From the perspective of deeper cultural implications, the two paintings actually have the same origin. Therefore,in the following,a tentative comparison of the two paintings is conducted, with a view of soliciting constructive comments and criticisms.
