摘　　要：美国作家厄秀拉·勒奎恩的代表作《世界的词语是森林》讲述了被视为“属下”的艾斯珊人如何反抗地球人殖民入侵,保存自身森林文化,最终与地球人共建生态文明的艰难历程,揭露了现代西方社会存在的政治、经济和科技等层面的弊端。艾斯珊人从最初沉默的“属下”,到武力反抗,再到逐渐获得了自我意识、声音、意愿和主体性。这个过程是艾斯珊人与地球人和平协商的过程,也是艾斯珊人探寻有效发声策略的过程。在与地球文明的冲突与融合中,艾斯珊人达成了对两种文明关系的深刻反思和重构,形成了可持续发展的、与地球文明和谐共处的“森林文明”。勒奎恩通过该小说表达了自己对于建构理想的乌托邦社会中的生态、人性和文化的理性思考,试图找到一个平等、和谐、多样、包容的理想社会状态。Le Guin’s representative work,The Word for World is Forest narrates the process of how the Athseans resist the colonial invasion,maintain the ecological culture,and come to establish ecological civilization with the Terrans,which exposes the political,economic and scientific and technological abuses of the modern western society.As the initial silent subordinates,the Athseans develop from violent resistance to the establishment of their subjectivity to express their self-consciousness,voice,and will,and finally reach the peaceful negotiation with the Terrans.The process of the Athseans’resistance witnesses their process of exploring effective vocal strategies.In the collision and interaction with Terran cultures,the Athsean culture reaches a profound reflection and reconstruction of the relationship between the two civilizations and evolves into a sustainable ecological culture in harmony with the Terran cultures.Through this novel,Lequin expresses her rational thinking about ecology,human nature and culture in the utopian society,which reflects Le Guin’s exploration of an ideal society of equality,harmony,diversity and tolerance.
