追寻自我:现代性自我认同的危与机

摘　　要：自我认同危机是现代性的突出特征之一,也是导致许多社会问题产生的根源。它不仅表现为自我的迷茫,还表现为从众性自我认同和自恋性自我认同。其实质都是错失了本真的自我,而在世俗潮流中形成虚假的自我认同,这也是存在主义对现代性的主要批评。在现代西方社会中,伴随着自我认同方式的转变,资本主义的商业文明和个人主义文化往往使人们在追寻自我的道路上落入诸多陷阱。为此,存在人本主义心理学在存在主义的基础上,提出以人的自我实现来确立个体的成长性自我认同并摆脱现代性自我的困境。显然,这在现代西方社会中是困难重重的。而对西方现代性自我认同的危与机加以反思,即是为了给中国现代性发展过程中出现的这一问题提供有益的借鉴。The crisis of self-identity is one of the prominent features of modernity,and it is also the root of many social problems.It is not only manifested in the confusion of self,but also in the conformity of self-identity and narcissistic self-identity.In fact,both of them miss the true self-identity and form false self-identity in the secular trend,which is also the main criticism of existentialism on modernity.In modern western society,with the change of self-identity,capitalist commercial civilization and individualism culture,especially modern science and technology,often make people fall into many traps on the road of self-identity.Based on existentialism,existential humanistic psychology proposes to establish individual growth self-identity by self-realization and get rid of the dilemma of modern self.Obviously,this is very difficult in modern western society.We review the crisis and opportunity of western self-identity of modernity in order to provide a useful reference on this issue in the process of Chinese modernity.
