摘　　要：精神孤独是农村空巢老人面临的最大问题。这不仅是个人问题,更是社会问题。政府应重视这一问题,并加以解决。解决农村空巢老人精神孤独问题的长效机制是政府买单,社工机构提供服务,进行社工介入和援助。社会工作的最基本原则是助人自助。社工介入的两种方法(个案工作和小组工作)能在一定程度上缓解农村空巢老人的精神孤独,但关键还是空巢老人学会自助,走出自我封闭,组织社团,开展集体活动。Mental loneliness,a personal problem and a social one as well,is the biggest problem that rural empty-nesters have to face.Governments should focus on this issue and solve it effectively.It is necessary to establish a long-term mechanism and provide services to intervene in and assist.The most basic principle of social work is to help others to help themselves.The two methods of social worker’s intervention(case work and team work)play a great role in alleviating the mental loneliness of rural empty-nesters,however,the key point is subject to whether the empty-nesters can learn to help themselves and get out of self-isolation through organizing associations and participating various collective activities.
