A Brief History of One Century Book Collection at Boone Library School

摘　　要：[目的/意义]文华图专作为中国近代图书馆学教育的发端,其对中国图书馆事业及教育的贡献早已为业界公认,它的藏书历程,无疑也是中国近代图书馆史、教育史不可忽视的组成部分,今年适逢其成立100周年,特兹纪念。[方法/过程]文章在对武汉大学信息管理学院所藏文华图专现存文献全面整理的基础上,通过调研相关档案、原始文献及查阅数据库文献等,掌握大量一手史料,以时间为序梳理文华图专藏书史实和数据,考察其原因及环境因素。[结果/结论]文华图专藏书发展的轨迹再次验证了藏书的事业规模、育化功能等的兴衰强弱,与社会经济、文化发展水平,与图书藏用观念、技术水平同命运,同频率。[Purpose/significance]The contribution of Boone Library School as the origin of modern Chinese library science education to Chinese librarianship has long been recognized.The Boone book collection journey is undoubtedly a component that cannot be ignored.This paper is written in memory of the 100th anniversary of the Boone Library School.[Method/process]On the basis of the comprehensive collation of the existing documents of the Boone Library School at the School of Information Management of Wuhan University,the author investigates relevant archives,original documents,and databases.With a large number of fi rst-hand historical materials,this paper sorts out facts and data in chronological order,and examines its way of development and environmental impact.[Result/conclusion]The collection development of Boone Library School has confi rmed that the rise and fall of the scale and educational function of book collection are in the same fate and frequency with the level of social economic,cultural development,the concept of book collection and use,and the advance of technology.
