摘 要:采用TiO 2和B4C为原料合成了亚微米级TiB 2粉体,对其反应机理和粉体的显微形貌进行研究。结果表明:TiO 2和B4C之间的反应存在复杂的中间产物,并且随着温度的升高,中间产物逐渐减少;过量的B4C有利于高纯度TiB 2粉体的制备。而且当TiO 2与B4C的摩尔比为7∶5.75时,在1550℃保温1h可获得高纯度的TiB 2粉体,其晶粒尺寸为0.2~0.8μm。对制备的上述TiB 2粉体进行1800℃热压烧结,可得到致密度高达94%的TiB 2陶瓷,表明制备的TiB 2粉体具有良好的烧结性能,且其硬度、抗弯强度和断裂韧性分别为(22.9±2.3) GPa、(416.7±13.0) MPa和(6.8±0.4) MPa·m1/2。Submicron TiB 2powder was prepared by using TiO 2and B4C as raw materials,and the reaction mechanism and powder morphology were studied.The results show that complex intermediate products appear after the reaction between TiO 2and B4C,and the mid-products gradually reduces with the temperature increasing.TiB 2powder with high purity could be obtained with excess B4C.When the molar ratio of TiO 2and B4C is 7∶5.75,high purity TiB 2powder with the grain size of0.2-0.8μm could be obtained at 1550℃for 1 h.The prepared TiB 2powder above is hot pressed at 1800℃,and then,the B4Cceramic with the density of 94%could be obtained,which indicates that the prepared powder has good sintering properties,and then,the hardness,bending strength and fracture toughness is (22.9±2.3) GPa,(416.7±13.0) MPa and (6.8±0.4) MPa·m1/2,respectively.
