Trace elements are one of the indispensable nutrients for animals to maintain body activities. In order to explore the seasonal variations and surplus and shortage of partial trace elements in the soil-grass-yak system in Gannan region, soil, grass and blood samples of yak during different seasons in Gannan region were collected determined and analyzed.Comparing the standards of different elements, the results showed that in the three seasons, the contents of Cu and Se in the soil, pasture and yak serum of Gannan region were in a lacking status. This study clarified the current status of trace element surpluses in the soil-grass-yak system in Gannan region, and provided a theoretical basis for pasture management, grassland protection and livestock productivity improvement in Gannan region.
