摘  要:本文旨在从己方论证和反方论证两个方面探讨中国英语学习者论证图式是否固化。采用基于Toulmin模式建立的新分析框架,对十五年前(30篇)与现今的大学生作文(27篇)进行纵向比较,并辅以访谈,调查现今学生对于己方论证和反方论证的看法。研究结果发现,两组作文都具有较强的己方论证充分性,特别是论证结构的深度和内嵌结构的数量十分相近。但是现今的学习者在反方论证的各项指标上都远远超过十五年前的学习者,能考虑到不同观点并进行反驳,其论证更有说服力。说明中国英语学习者论证图式已发生了变化。By studying myside argument and counter argument,this paper explores whether Chinese EFL learners’argumentation schemas are solidified.A new analytical framework was designed based on Toulmin Model.Text analysis involved 27 English argumentative essays of present college students and 30 essays of their counterparts 15 years ago.Interviews were further conducted to investigate present students’views on myside argument and counter argument.The results show that both groups produced sufficient myside arguments in terms of argument depth and number of embedded structure.However,the present students performed far better in using counter argument(including counterargument-claim,counterargument-data and rebuttal)and demonstrated a higher counterargument-data/data ratio.They attended to their readers’different views and offered rebuttals,thus promoting the persuasiveness of the essays.This suggests that Chinese EFL learners’argumentation schemas have been altered.
