英国政治戏剧正式传统的构建

摘　　要：按照现有的文艺传统观,英国政治戏剧尚无体制认可的正式传统。但是,它已经形成了历时百余年的事实性传统。构建英国政治戏剧正式传统之难,一方面显示出现有研究中传统与经典概念的混同,另一方面暴露出文艺作品经典化过程中阶层上的文化霸权比族裔和性别上的文化霸权更难消除。实际上,英国政治戏剧是从创作到演出均由中产阶级和工人阶级共同完成的文化产品。“开放传统”,构建政治戏剧这一公开反体制的、激进的文类的传统,因而不仅必要而且可能,它具有明显的促进文化重构和社会融合的意义。In light of the accepted view of literary tradition,British political drama has no official tradition,whereas it has al⁃ready had a de facto tradition of more than one hundred years.The difficulty in constructing the official tradition of British political dra⁃ma reveals the confusion of the concepts of“tradition”and“canon”on the one hand,and on the other hand,it exposes the fact that in the classicization of literary works,cultural hegemony in the area of social class is even harder to eradicate than that in racial and gender areas.In fact,British political drama is the cultural product of the middle class and the working class from creation to perform⁃ance.Therefore,it is not only necessary but also possible to“open”the dramatic tradition and construct a tradition for the overtly radi⁃cal and anti⁃establishment literary genre,which is of apparent significance for cultural restructuring and social integration.
