Transient receptor potential vanilloid 1(TRPV1),also known as capsaicin receptor or vanilla-like receptor 1,is a subfamily of transient receptor potential proteome, which plays a pivotal role in the injury induced by ischemia/reperfusion(I/R)in multiple organs.During myocardial I/R(in vitro or in vivo model),TRPV1 channel can be activated by various factors to increase the release of calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP)and substance P(SP)through a series of signaling cascades,so as to alleviate myocardial injury. This article will review the protective effects of TRPV1 channel on myocardial I/R injury through the aspects of diabetic rats, preconditioning and postconditioning, and the signaling cascade mechanism involved,in order to rational use of TRPV1 as a target in patients with myocardial ischemia.
