摘　　要：船载VDR已成为船上一种重要的安全设备,它能够客观地记录水上交通事故发生前后船舶位置、运动情况、物理状态、命令及控制信息,帮助调查人员还原事故经过,从而为事故原因分析打下基础。文中在对IMO有关VDR的标准进行比较分析的基础上,结合实际案例详细阐述了如何在海事调查中有效应用VDR数据。Shipborne Voyage data recorder(VDR)has become an important safety device.It is capable of objectively recording the position,movement,physical status,command and control of a vessel over the period leading up to and following an accident.Such information can assist investigators in the reconstruction of the casualty so as to find out the causes and contributing factors.Based on the comparative analysis of IMO standards concerning VDR,the paper elaborates on the effective use of VDR in marine casualty investigation in view of actual cases.
