Podocyte injury can be caused by many factors, such as changes in podocyte proteins caused by gene mutations, infections, poisons or drugs,immu-nological injuries, hemodynamic changes, metabolic disorders, etc.Under the action of these injury factors, podocyte reactions include foot process fusion, podocyte dedifferentiation, podocyte exfoliation and apoptosis, podocyte development stagnation. With a deeper understanding of the structure and function of podocytes, the mechanism of action in glomerular disease becomes increasinglyclear and targeted intervention of podocyte injury is a new research direction.CD2AP,as one of the components of the slit diaphragm of the glomerular pod-ocyte,plays an important role in maintaining the integrity of the glomerular filtration barrier.Changes in the expression level or structure of CD2AP can cause a series of pathophysiological changes in podocytes, then leading to proteinuria and even death due to renal failure. This article reviews the effects of targeted intervention on CD2AP in podocyte injury.
