摘  要:由于基于40μm保偏光纤的商用光纤器件制作技术和保偏熔接技术尚不成熟,一般的保偏光纤参数测量方法很难直接应用。文章提出在1根40μm保偏光纤上完成超辐射发光二极管(SLD)耦合对接和光纤偏振器在线制作,构建出一套简单的偏光干涉装置,利用调制光谱可同时实现拍长和双折射温度系数的测量。文章分别从理论和实验上对测量方法进行了阐述和验证。所提方法同样适用于其他直径的保偏光纤参数测量。Because the manufacturing technology of commercial optical fiber device and polarization-maintaining fiber fusion splicing technology based on 40μm polarization-maintaining fiber are not mature,general polarization-maintaining fiber parameter measurement methods are difficult to directly apply.In this paper,a simple polarization interference device is constructed by accomplishing Superluminescent Diode(SLD)source coupling and making optical fiber polarizer online on a 40μm polarization-maintaining fiber.The beating length and refractive index temperature coefficient of polarization-maintaining fiber can be both measured using the modulated spectrum.The measuring method is elaborated in theory and verified via the experiment,which is also applicable for polarization-maintaining fibers with other diameters.
