Objective To explore the expectorant effect of acetylcysteine solution for inhalation on patients with viscous sputum and difficulty in sputum excretion. Methods A total of 100 cases of patients with viscous sputum and difficulty in sputum excretion from January 2018 to January 2019 in our hospital were retrospectively selected.According to the treatment methods, the patients were divided into study group(acetylcysteine solution for inhalation)and control group(ambroxol hydrochloride injection),with 50 cases in each group. The clinical symptom score and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, the decreased range of cough, difficult or easy degree of expectoration, sputum volume, sputum property scores and total score of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The total effective rate of treatment of the study group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The expectorant effect of acetylcysteine solution for inhalation on patients with sputum viscosity and difficulty in sputum excretion is more obvious than ambroxol hydrochloride injection, which is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
